Suzanne Gerhardt, MS, PT
Suzanne graduated from the University of Michigan, with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. She then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Allied Health Education from the University of Michigan. Suzie joined SJMHS in 1998 after working in home care and private practice. Her main area of expertise is rehabilitation of post surgical patients including total joint arthroplasties, in addition to general outpatient orthopedics. Suzie currently serves as the Site Leader at the East Stadium location and as the System’s Center Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE) for physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students.

Cathy Susan, PT, MS, CSCS
Cathy has a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology both from the University of Michigan. She joined SJMHS in 1998 and works at the East Stadium outpatient PT clinic. Cathy’s many years of experience includes working with both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic / musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries, especially of the shoulder, knee and foot / ankle. She has been a runner for over 25 years and has a special interest in lower extremity biomechanics as it is applied to running injuries.. Cathy is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has taught classes on running, cross country skiing, strength training and sea kayaking.

Kathryn (Pinhey) Begeman, MS, PT, ATC, CSCS
Kate has a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. In addition to her physical therapy license, Kate is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Kate has a strong interest in sports rehabilitation, and especially enjoys working with adolescent, young adult and adult athletic populations. Kate joined SJMHS in 2001, after 9 years at the University of Michigan Athletic Department working with collegiate athletes and teaching athletic training courses. Outside of her busy work schedule, Kate divides her time between playing hockey, tennis and coaching a youth hockey team.
Kathryn (Pinhey) Begeman, MS, PT, ATC, CSCS
Anne Stevenson, MS, PT
Anne has a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University. Prior to joining SJMHS in 2005, Anne focused her practice on orthopedic physical therapy and practiced in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as in Detroit, Michigan. Anne emphasizes using hands on joint mobilizations and muscle energy techniques to address joint dysfunction. Anne works with patients to develop appropriate functional exercises and sport specific training to individualize the rehabilitation process.
