Robert D. Stager, MD
Residency Program Director
Dr. Robert Stager is currently the Residency Program Director at St. Joseph
Mercy Hospital, an independent academic medical center. He graduated from The
Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1992 and went on to complete his
residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan in 1996. Following
three years of private practice in rural northern Ohio, he joined the teaching
faculty at the Medical College of Georgia. While there, Dr. Stager was an Assistant
Professor for six years, served as Associate Program Director for three years
and Program Director for two years. Dr. Stager is truly a dynamic, forward thinking
and outstanding medical educator receiving several APGO Excellence in Teaching
Awards in addition to CREOG National Faculty Awards. His clinical interests
include minimally invasive surgical techniques for abnormal uterine bleeding
and fibroids.
