Operating Room

When you are ready for your operation a nurse will take you to the operating room. Once there, you will be asked to move onto a narrow bed. A nurse will put a seat belt across you for safety. Blankets are available for your comfort.

Routine monitors include a blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter and electrocardiogram (ECG). These are placed to follow your heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure and oxygen level. All patients are monitored very closely during their operations.
