Inpatient Psychiatric Program

The 24-bed inpatient unit is a locked, secure unit that admits patients ages 18 through older adult. Both voluntary and involuntary patients are accepted who primarily reside in Washtenaw, Livingston counties and surrounding areas.

Services and Staff

Services are provided to any patient experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. Patients admitted to the inpatient unit meet the following general criteria: the presence of a life threatening and/or severely incapacitating symptoms or a high probability for the impending development of such symptoms; potential of harm to self or others.

Staff are experienced, dedicated mental health professionals who are committed to providing a healthy, safe and therapeutic environment for all patients. The treatment team consists of an attending psychiatrist, registered nurse, social work, recreational and/or occupational therapists, and patient care technicians.
