Integrative Massage and Bodywork Techniques
Ellen Thompson Women's Health Center, located
on the campus of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, and Woodland Health Center in Brighton offer a variety of healing
methods to both men and women in a comfortable and soothing environment. Our
therapists are committed to client well-being and self empowerment by helping
people increase physical, mental and spiritual self awareness.Our therapists
are nationally certified ABMP and AMTA members, and experienced professionals
who have extensive training in various massage techniques and bodywork therapies.
Our therapists blend various therapeutic methods to help people with issues
such as muscle and nerve pain, postural distortion, repetitive use injury and
prolonged stress, injury or illness.
Services Offered
- Swedish Massage: Basic whole body massage for general
relaxation and stress release.
- Free Swedish Massage for Cancer Center Patients
- Hot Stone Massage: The application of water-heated basalt stones to key points on the body for relaxation or for therapeutic reasons.
- Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT): Utilizes special massage
techniques, functional assessment, and stretching to treat various chronic and
acute pain conditions.
- Muscle Release Technique: A unique therapy that
combines stretching and compression to assist pain relief due to repetitive
use injuries.
- Myofascial Work: Uses very mild pressure and gentle
forms of stretching and traction to help release tension and relieve
pain.

we begin the healing process with a specific program designed to meet your needs.
