At Saint Joseph Mercy Health System patients benefit from direct care by eye doctors who are Board Certified in Ophthalmology. Also referred to as an Eye M.D., ophthalmologists are medical doctors who provide medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases for adults and children. All patients receive individualized care by a staff physician and his/her highly trained staff.

Several of our staff physicians are participating in research to advance diagnosis and treatment of eye disease. Ophthalmology has many subspecialties and we provide surgical and laser procedures in both inpatient and outpatient facilities. Our services include treatment of the following:
