Support Services
The Saint Joseph Mercy Cancer Center provides an array of support services
for cancer patients and their families. The Center's staff includes:
- Social workers
- Nutritionists
- Pharmacist and two pharmacy technicians
dedicated solely to the Cancer Center
- Pastoral Care support is also available as needed
- Visits from our four-legged Pet Therapy staff when available
Cancer Information Center
The Saint Joseph Mercy Cancer Center also houses a Cancer Information
Center, offering a full range of educational resources from high-tech computers
to low-tech books and brochures for different learning styles. Most reference
materials are free or can be checked out to read at home. The Information Center
is located just past the Cancer Center entrance. Resources include:
- Computer with Internet access
- Copier and printer
- Educational videos and audiotapes
- Brochures, books and magazines
