2009 St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Golf Classic
It's hard to imagine all the costs associated with cancer treatment.
From diagnosis, through treatment and survivorship, patients must endure the
financial obligations of multiple co-pays for doctor's appointments and
prescriptions, increased transportation and communication costs, lost wages,
child care, medical equipment, wigs and specialized garments, even nutritional
supplements.
Now envision facing cancer without the benefit of insurance, or employment,
or the ability to work. Many patients being treated at the Woodland Cancer Center
are struggling with these issues right now. Some must decide between caring
for their health and caring for their family. Patients turn to us for help and
for hope, and we intend to offer a solution.
The proceeds from the 2009 St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Golf Classic will directly
benefit patients in need by creating access to resources such as gas, a wig,
medications, Lifeline, ostomy supplies, and basic needs like nutritious food.
Can you imagine being part of the solution? Will you help make a difference
- alleviating distress, ensuring timely cancer treatment and restoring
hope?
This year's Golf Classic will take place on Monday, June 1 at Prestwick
Village Golf Club in Highland. The event will be a traditional scramble format,
with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Reservations received by March 13, 2009 will guarantee listing in the
Golf Classic invitation mailed to more than 800 individuals and businesses.
