Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do if I have prescription coverage through my Medigap (supplemental insurance) policy?

You will receive a letter from your Medigap insurance company stating if their coverage is better than Medicare Part D (keep this letter for your records). If the coverage is worse than Medicare Part D you can either keep your Medigap policy and take the penalty if you sign up for a plan later, or you can drop your current Medigap policy and re-enroll in a Medigap with only health coverage and a stand-alone Prescription Drug Plan.
